5 Excellent Design Tips For A Small Bathroom

Finding the best bathroom design for your home is easier than you think.

When designing a small bathroom, the most important aspect is to find ways to fight the chaos in your space.  There are many things to do to make a small bathroom space feel more luxurious and much larger. Here are just a few simple solutions to your small space problems.

Find A Professional

First have a certified bathroom remodeler to examine your area to find ways to expand the space either by taking in some closet area, space under the stairway, or even some room area that’s not used. If this is not possible then let’s make use of the space you have.

Even small bathrooms can appear large when designed properly.

Give The Vanity An Update

Changing the current vanity to one that gives you optimize storage is one solution to eliminate clutter and simplify your daily routine. For example, a vanity with drawers

or a pull out drawer in the sink area provides much-needed storage.  Install surface mounted medicine cabinets off to the side of the wall or built-in shelves for additional

storage to show off your perfumes and lotions.

Customize The Space

To personalize your bathroom, we suggest you begin with a style and finish you love and select products that will project your personalized look. As the main focal attraction, you may want to use a decorative sink or backsplash tile or an outstanding mirror and light

Think Compact

If the small bathroom has a tub and there is the second tub in the home, replace it with a

shower. Install a shower with a clear glass enclosure to make the bathroom appear larger and expose any decorative tiles.  You may also want to consider a shower seat,  body sprays, a large overhead rain showerhead and a thermostatic temperature control for a relaxing and invigorating experience.

Incorporate Large Tiles

Using large tiles on the shower walls with a three-inch listello and large floor tiles

has less grout thus having a cleaner and more transitional look.  Be bold, use a pattern tile or a geometric design. A granite countertop can get dull with bleach cleaners; therefore, a quartz countertop is a better choice.  Round the corners and use a bullnose edge to give a transitional appearance.
